You all know that I'm into creepy things. I love skulls and horror and 90% of my podcast playlists are either true crime or paranormal. I like being scared. It's just my thing. My other thing is writing, and as much as I told myself that this is my blog and I can put whatever... Continue Reading →
I really intended to post something cheesy about how it's gonna be May, but then the beginning of May passed me by. I feel like the last few months have been in fast forward. There's been a lot going on in my life, personally and professionally, and my little passion project fell by the wayside... Continue Reading →
Earlier this week I was listening to a new favorite creepy podcast, Ghosting Around with Kathleen Derose and John Casen. Yeah, the name is really dumb and they tell way too many stupid/dad jokes, but it's otherwise enjoyable and easy to listen to while I'm doing more important things, like working. Also, John writes for... Continue Reading →
And no, I'm not talking about the Urban Decay collab with Game of Thrones. While I am basically chomping at the bit to get my hands on it, something more exciting (for me) is coming soon. I started a new project this weekend, and I hope you'll all like it. I'm trying to keep it... Continue Reading →
I talked a while ago about a podcast I love, Ghosts in the Burbs. This week’s installment is about a place I’ve been.
The introduction may be a little confusing if you’re not a regular listener; there are names in there that you likely haven’t heard before. But the couple in this story supposedly spend the night in a haunted location near my hometown. A location I’ve visited with some of my favorite ladies. It’s worth a read, and if you like it, maybe go back and read from the beginning. You won’t be disappointed.
“Are you hearing anything now?” Adam asked excitedly.
I told him I hadn’t and that I usually didn’t, that it was a rare occurrence as of late. It was a lie. As I’d watched the man and his fiancé walk through Quebrada’s front door Claire had cautioned, “Be careful with those two.”
The truth was that Claire had stuck around after that night in Smith and Wollensky’s when I’d broken the news of her freedom to the three witches who’d bound her in between. She said Wellesley was just getting good and that I was just getting started.
The dead were speaking, but not very often and when they did it wasn’t all that informative or helpful. Claire’s voice rose above…

I love podcasts. I'm now subscribed to more than 60 of them, and I listen basically all day, every day. While I'm working, while I'm driving, sometimes even when I'm in the shower. I know this is when normal people listen to music, but music doesn't keep my brain engaged. I zone out, and I... Continue Reading →
A few months ago I posted about one of my new favorite podcasts, Para(normal). I had sent her some personal experiences and she read them on a recent episode, also giving me (and this blog) a shoutout. Yes, I fangirled. Yes, I'm sad that they're over the border and we can't be best friends. Anyway,... Continue Reading →
Most of the time when I go on long-distance road trips I listen to podcasts and audiobooks instead of music. Because I'm a weirdo. I know. On my last trip to Michigan I was bored with the dating podcast I'd been listening to (I might talk about it in a different post because it was... Continue Reading →
I know I've mentioned it in passing, but recently I've been super into podcasts. I used to find them incredibly boring, but I was also listening primarily to This American Life and Savage Lovecast, which are good, but after a while get a little redundant. I mean, how many times can you listen to Dan... Continue Reading →
