I did an anti-haul recently, and I feel it’s only right that I should talk about some things that I actually am interested in and do want. For the sake of balance, or whatever.
We’ve been without a Naked palette release for six-ish months, so they were due for a release. This is all warm browns and golds, and for some reason I really like it. Some of my favorite YouTubers have reviewed it, like Emily Noel and Leesha, aka Xsparkage, and they’ve enjoyed it. Leesha especially was a surprise since she was initially dismissive. So, I want it.
This is a collection of eye and face palettes, liners, brushes, and lip products. Nothing revolutionary, but I collect Funko Pop figures, much to Dan’s dismay. I also collect makeup. I love Disney villains. It’s like this collection was made for me. I’m looking at you Ursula and Maleficent. I’ll likely never use any of the stuff but I still want it.
It’s surprisingly difficult to find good skincare for oily skin that doesn’t break the bank. I love Murad and other “clinical” brands, but I don’t want to spend $40 on my moisturizer. So any time a brand I like releases something for my greasy face and enlarged pores, I’m into it. I haven’t seen much about this collection on the interwebs yet, but I’m cautiously optimistic.
This palette is giving me life. I had a different Cover Shot palette and didn’t love it, but the earthy tones in this are totally my jam right now. It’s not like anything else in my collection and I waaaaaant it.
Much like the Smashbox palette, I’m loving the colors in this. I’m super into greens and golds and the sort of throwback look to this palette. I’ve never purchased one of these minis but I’ve been curious about them. I just wish it had a mirror.
I’m not completely on board with the whole hemp/CBD thing in cosmetics and skincare, but I like Peter Thomas Roth, generally. I’ve also been really into night creams lately and trying some new ones, so I’m interested in this.
I really don’t understand why this thing appeals to me. I already use a thing to squeeze the shit out of my pores and it was like $5, and I’m satisfied applying serums with my hands. So why spend $99? I don’t know. It just seems cool and I want it.
I don’t currently own anything from this brand, but everyone loves it. I haven’t seen many reviews of this product but I’m intrigued. A full coverage foundation balm that comes with a brush? Sure, I’ll give it a shot.
I also don’t own anything from this brand, mostly because the price tag makes me want to weep. But $60 is pretty normal for an eye cream, and if I’m going to buy bougie skincare, it’s likely going to be for my eyes. Also the whole melting peony thing appeals to me.
I don’t want to spend $68 on a foundation, I really don’t. The problem is that I’ve loved everything I’ve tried from this brand, and it’s getting good reviews. Also, that packaging. Damn. I can’t make myself buy it right now, but it’s in my cart waiting for the next VIB sale.
I’ve never wanted a beauty advent calendar, but this looks like it’s going to be a good one. I’m all about the mini lipsticks and shadow singles. The only thing I know I won’t use is the lashes, but it might be worth it.
I don’t like the ghost theme of this year’s collection, especially given the cheap look of the packaging. Having said that… I want it. I’m not into the big palette, since it’s basically the same as the one I bought last year, but I’m into the blush quad. I also really want the Confession lipsticks. I’ve never tried them and I’ve heard good things. Also, those eyeshadows. DAMN. I need them in my life.
It’s been a long time since anything from Tarte’s holiday collections appealed to me, but these blush stacks caught my eye. They’re giving me Melt vibes, even though it doesn’t appear that the stacks come apart. Anyway, I love Tarte blushes and highlighters, and these colors are all super pretty and wearable for my skin tone. Six blushes and three highlighters for $35 is a damn good deal.
Are you interested in any of this stuff? What’s on your fall wish list?
