MOTD: Damn, it’s fall edition

I know people love fall, and I’m into it for spooky reasons, but I was not fully prepared for the end of summer. It’s still warm here, but it’s been raining for days and the cooler weather is making appearances at night. Ugh. This means winter is coming.

But I took a few minutes to put on makeup!

Foundation: Etude House Double Lasting Foundation in N05 Sand

Powder: Urban Decay All Nighter Waterproof Setting powder. Holy grail. Use this every day.

Eyes: Colourpop Proceed With Caution palette

Mascara: L’Oreal Unlimited mascara

Lips: Colourpop So Juicy Plumping Gloss in Round About

Setting spray: MAC Fix+. Another holy grail that I use every day.

This is my first time using this foundation and I think I like it. It has a pretty strong perfume scent but that’s common with Korean products. It’s not emphasizing pores or dryness and feels good on my face, so we’ll see how it wears. I should have a full review coming.

I love this eyeshadow palette. It was the second collab with Colourpop and Shayla, and it came out in the midst of a whole bunch of other releases and got a bit lost. I really like it for travel because it’s small and versatile. Alas, it doesn’t appear that they’re selling it anymore.

I don’t think I like this mascara. I bought it because I wanted to see how it compares to my favorite L’Oreal mascara, Lash Paradise, and I’m kind of regretting it. The packaging is interesting, and the wand handle bends in a helpful way, but I don’t like the formula. It’s dry and flaky and I don’t love how my lashes look.

Finally, the gloss. I have a bunch of these from Colourpop and I like them. I don’t notice any real plumping, but they are a tiny bit tingly. Really I just think they’re pretty and they’re not overly sticky, and I appreciate the squeeze tube packaging. You can’t beat it for the price.

I love the eye-shadow pallet too, the mascara doesn’t look bad. I think it’s the entire summer turning to fall thing. I personally love the fall/winter, I can much better handle the cold than the heat.
