Soap and Glory One Heck of a Blot Foundation

When I’m testing a foundation I generally like to wear it for a few days; I try it with and without primer, under different life circumstances like events and weather, and with and without a setting powder. I like to make absolutely sure that I do or don’t like something before I decide to keep it.

That is completely unnecessary with this product.

So. Much. Nope.

I hate this so, so, SO much.

I wanted to love it. I really did. I love Soap and Glory and have a bunch of their bath products that are like my holy grail, but this needs to be killed with fire.

I’ve only been wearing it for about 90 minutes and I want to go wash my face. It went on really nicely and the color is pretty good, but when it dried it started looking really flaky. It supposedly has “Super-Blur Powders” which would account for why my face looks really powdery despite not having used any powder, but I can assure you that nothing is being blurred. All of the dry patches on my skin are being emphasized, and my skin looks dry even in places where it didn’t look or feel dry before I put this foundation on. I tried really hard to take a photo of my gross face and my camera wasn’t having it, but trust me: it’s not awesome.

This product might work for people with super oily skin and claims to mattify for up to 12 hours, but it’s just not working for me.

A few other notes about this product: the shade range is really limited so it’s basically only suited for people with light skin. I bought it at my local Walgreens, and this entire brand is frequently on sale at both Walgreens and Target so there’s no need to pay the (unusually high for a drugstore product) full price.

Ugh. I’m so disappointed.

Note: I don’t intend to post more than once a day or once every other day, but this was so bad I couldn’t help myself.
